What is CallEat?
CallEat is an all-in-one SaaS platform for the restaurant industry. Your guests scan a QR code on the table to call a waiter, browse the menu, or order; your team receives requests in real time on a liveboard — no app to install, neither for guests nor for staff.

- Opening hours — defines the call-reception time slots
- Time zone — important for analytics

Accès : Advanced modules > Enable/Disable (owner only)

Notification settings
Types de notifications disponibles :
- Notification navigateur (push)
- Notification sonore
- Notification visuelle (badge)
Real-time liveboard
Le liveboard (Real Time > Live dashboard) is your floor control centre. It displays in real time:
- Pending guest calls and their waiting time
- The status of each table
- The waiter who handled each request
- Current service indicators
Taking a call
- The guest scans the QR and taps "Call a waiter"
- The call appears instantly on the liveboard and triggers a notification
- A waiter clicks "Accept": the call is assigned to them
- Once handled, they mark the call as resolved
TipDisplay the liveboard on a tablet or a screen on the floor. "Smart tracking" (Real Time > Smart tracking) automatically prioritises the tables that have been waiting the longest.
Table management
Table management lets you organise your dining space.
Add a table
- Go to
Configuration > Tables - Click "Add a table"
- Enter the number and zone
- Save to automatically generate the QR code
Organise by zone
Zones let you assign waiters to specific sections. Common examples:
- Terrace / Indoor
- Main room / Mezzanine
- Smoking / Non-smoking
Zone configuration details are in the Zones & assignments section.
QR Codes
QR codes are the touchpoint between your guests and your venue: a single code per table gives access to the waiter call, the menu, and ordering.
Download
You can retrieve your QR codes:
- Individually from each table's detail page
- In bulk, to print all your tables at once
Formats & media
- High-resolution image — for your own print materials
- Print-ready PDF — with branding layout
- Table tent cards — physical stands available in the store
ImportantEach QR code is unique to a table and cryptographically signed. Do not share them on social media: they could be used to send fake calls or orders.
Notifications & calls
Notifications are sent in real time to your team via the web app, with no installation required.
Notification types
- New call — a guest is requesting a waiter
- Pending call — reminder after a delay with no response
- Call accepted — a waiter has taken the request
- New order — if online ordering is enabled
Personalisation
Each user can personalise their notification preferences (push, sound) from My account.
Enable browser notificationsOn first access, allow notifications in your browser. On mobile, keep the waiter view tab open so you don't miss anything.
Table ordering Add-on · Online ordering
With the Online ordering add-on, guests don't just call — they order directly from their phone after scanning the table QR.
Guest journey
- Scan the table QR code
- Browse the digital menu
- Add to basket (with variants and extras)
- Confirm the order
Team side
Orders come in under Real Time > Orders. With the kitchen display (KDS, Real Time > Kitchen), each station sees the tickets to prepare in real time.
Smart upsellAutomatically suggest complementary items at order time to increase the average basket (Real Time > Smart upsell).
Click & Collect & payment Add-on · Online ordering
The Online ordering add-on also covers takeaway sales and payment tracking.
Click & Collect
Real Time > Click & Collect: guests order in advance and pick up on site. Takeaway orders are tracked separately from in-venue service.
Payments
Real Time > Payments (owner only): track revenue from online orders. Consolidated turnover is available in Analytics.
Guest reviews
At the end of the meal, invite guests to leave a review directly from their phone. Reviews are centralised in Advanced modules > Guest reviews.
Handling dissatisfaction
The Dissatisfaction module (Real Time > Dissatisfaction) alerts you in real time when a guest signals a problem — so you can act before they leave the table rather than discovering a negative review the next day.
AvailabilityGuest review collection depends on your plan. Check its activation in Advanced modules > Enable/Disable.
Google & TripAdvisor reviews Add-on · External reviews
Centralise your Google and TripAdvisor reviews in Advanced modules > Google/TripAdvisor reviews to monitor your online reputation without leaving CallEat.
- Aggregation of ratings and comments from external platforms
- Tracking the evolution of your average score
- Consolidated view alongside your internal reviews
